Tonge Out Of The Oxford Game

Tonge Out Of The Oxford Game

With full back Dale Tonge receiving a red card for two bookable offences against Morecambe, he will now miss the upcoming match against Oxford serving an automatic one match ban.

Speaking to the Official Site, Alan Knill admitted that he didn't realise straight away that Tonge had received his marching orders because neither tackle was malicious, but it just shows how easily it can happen in today's game.

'It's one of those things and it's quite easy these days to get two yellow cards. We can't do anything about it, so we'll have a look at what we've got and pick a team for next week against Oxford.'

Knill added that following the match he had no injuries worries which was a blessing after losing Tonge.
