Knill Shows Potential Recruits Torquay

Alan Knill has said that with Torquay being geographically a long way from most clubs, he has invited potential recruits down to take in the area to ensure they can settle.

Speaking to the Official Site Knill explained.

'We had someone down yesterday and I think it's best you're really honest with players. I want them to come down and see the place, see the town and realise how far it is. If I'm bringing a player from the North and we want them to commit and live in the area, they need to know about the travelling.'

Knill says that when he joined the club he didn't realise the distance involved as it's not the same when you're travelling yourself and not on a team coach with distractions and new players have to understand that.

For those who can adjust he doesn't believe there is a better place to live though.
