'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Ling To Return, Knill Praised

Vice Chairman Simon Baker has praised Alan Knill, and confirmed that Martin Ling will return to the club on Monday to discuss plans for next season.

Speaking to the BBC he explained.

'Martin Ling's coming back in on Monday and we'll meet and sort things out. He is better now.'

Ling obviously suffered a stress related illness back in January and it's good to hear he's on the mend now.

Baker also had praise for the efforts of Knill in his absence.

'Alan has been amazing. He's very generous, he's not charged us a penny other than what we've paid in expenses. He's given all his time, he's worked incredibly hard and done a brilliant job.'

Baker says Knill has more than contributed to turning around the fortunes of the club and building up a team that was very low on confidence when he first arrived.
