Knill - Job Done

Knill - Job Done

Alan Knill has said he is delighted to have achieved his sole aim when joining the club in February, we have kept our Football League status.

Speaking to the Official Site following our 3-3 draw with Bristol Rovers, the gaffer said.

'It was another great game for the neutrals and awful for the manager, but we got the point we wanted. My teams have always been strong at this part of the season and thankfully Torquay have been strong. I've enjoyed every minute of being here and a big thank you to the players, the directors and the supporters. I look forward to seeing Torquay in league 2 next season. My remit was simply to keep us in the league, I've done it before and was confident I could do it again. I'm delighted for the players because they've been fantastic.'

Knill says there is a lot more confident and resilience in the dressing room now, and the work ethic is much improved from when he first joined and he believes that was on show in the Rovers game as Torquay fought for that point.
